what a load of tosh! Symantec counts ONE install of a bootable OS (XP in
this case) with recovery console installed, as a DUAL boot OS!!!???
Where is the dual boot OS there? I see *one* OS? And the product in
question (goback) is a clone of xp's OWN sys restore! Lemme see,
uninstalling a symantec product is SO painless they find the need to
release a cleaner that removes all the components that ARENT uninstalled
properly when a user uninstalls a symantec product in the CORRECT manner
(oh and the cleaner doesnt work)? Remember the farce when xp was
released? The "new" systemworks for xp worked fine, BY DISABLING
everything xp related. This is the wrong list to tout symantec products,
they are a spent force, and a DANGER to the average user. And what on
earth is a TB? WE know what it is, doesnt help Joe user when his free
sym trial has expired. I dont know what work environment you exist in,
but believe me, I make money by cleaning up PC's where a nav sub has
expired, and people ignore it, or people decide to opt for something
else and can't because symantec will NOT remove itself from their
system, or they buy a pre-installed system with some form of symantec
product in trial form, and they have no idea what to do when sym pop-ups
appear on a regular basis, or norton internet security stops them
surfing, or even (in 1 extreme and very lucrative (to the customer)
share-trading app could not access the internet. I believe you are in
education, can you hand on heart tell me your employers use Symantec ?
It's a POS relying on it's name, and the fact it distributes freebie
"trials" left right and centre (like AOL as an isp, and yes, my isp is
AOL). Fact is when it works it works well, problem is it works very
rarely ...
