Win2K will create FAT partitions,
and my suggestion for shortening the destination path was to see if the full
name being generated for one, or more files to be posted onto the
destination partition exceed the max allowable length.
Not a foolproof approach, as the system will allow files to be moved to a
lower level of a directory structure,
and then allow an intermediary directory name to be changed so that a files
full name will be too long.

Then the scheduled overnight backups start failing
