I'm speaking strictly as a seller!
With a personal or commercial acct ? The 1st
part of my post was about being a seller with a
commercial acct & the last part was about a
benefit of having a commercial acct in that one
could spend the loot they made as a seller any
where that doesn't accept PayPa as soon as it's in their PayPal acct.
I have "always" incurred a fee for accepting PayPal.
You run a business & you accept CCs ? Well in
order for you to accept CCs via PayPal you MUST
have a commercial acct & then all deposits made
into your acct from selling something incurs a
fee whether you accept a CC payment or not. Gotcha !
The following are quotes from the PayPal website that is accessible to anyone.
Personal Account
Ideal if you primarily send payments, such as
for eBay items or online subscriptions. With a
Personal account, you can send and receive money
for freeĀbut you cannot accept debit or credit card payments.
Like I told Tony
If you want to accept CC then you must have a
commercial acct & then there is a transaction fee.
I would wager that most 99.9% of commercial
sellers accept debit & CCs so yes there is a
transaction fee for everything because they have a business acct.
With a Premier account, you can send money for
free and receive all payment types for low fees.
With a Business account, you can send money for
free and receive all payment types for low fees.
How can I make it clearer? Once one converts
over to a Business or Premier Acct then all
payment types shall incur a fee. This is 100%
true but if you want to make a deposit [not a
payment from someone else] from your bank acct
there is no fee for this. The only way that
accepting a payment shall not incur a fee is IF
you have a Personal Acct AND it is NOT a debit or CC. Sorry.
