Start, search, pictures, music, video, enter "*.mp3" in the "all or part of
file name" box, click on "use advanced search options, choose the drive the
files are located, it will find all the *.mp3 files on the drive, select all
that are found, right click, select "send to" and choose the drive you will
send them to. They will be sent to the root directory of the drive you
choose. Go to the drive you just sent them to and click "view",
"arrange icons by", choose "type", then select the *.mp3 files and copy move
them to the directory you want.

I hope this is what you want to do, if not, Merry Christmas any way.

Do all of the files you want to move end in .mp3?
And if so, are there any files that end in .mp3 that you don't want to
move?
Jerry.

When I opened the message, I found that Wayne Johnson had written:

> How about the rest of the Elvis tunes? I'm saying you can add Elvis
> to the beginning of all the Elvis tunes at once so you'd end up with
> Elvis-BlueSuedeShoes.mp3 & Elvis-HeartbreakHotel.mp3 etc. etc. then
> place all the Elvis files with the Lawrence Welk tunes & they won't

That's the problem! Most directories only have one tune....some two or
three.

I just took a gander at it! Reminds me of the WS/FTP interface.

I'm still waiting for an easier solution <smile>.
