Agreed - and XP has almost as good a facility built in to go back to prior
status
The main thing is to backup your system to a DVD+/-R or other permanent
media BEFORE installing new packages, or any major fix sets

Then if it doesn't work properly - you can restore to the point before you
started 'knackering' your system

With Goback you are still venerable to any malware that wants to 'corrupt'
the Goback archives,
or - even smart stuff that adds itself to the goback 'restore' set
For anybody with enough knowledge to imbed their stuff in the boot process
putting it in the Goback recovery process is easy meat
