If you want to test the MS patch for effectiveness, use the tester provided
by the author of the temporary patch (URL wrappage):

With MS fix in and temp patch out, it returns the same result as it did when
the temporary patch was installed.
Yes, with the additional warning that it only checks ONE (of the 80 or
so "flavors" of the exploit), so it is not an all inclusive test, just a basic
one...
