Most Wireless devices support WEP encryption. If you enabled this on your Linksys access point then any devices wanting to connect to it would also need to know the specified WEP key., you would obviously not tell your neighbour!

MAC Address lockdown would also work fine in this situation. MAC addresses _can_ be spoofed, but unless your neighbour is knowledgeable in this area I would suggest that it is beyond them.
