Got a strange one, client has a small Peer 2 Peer home office with 3 computers, a laptop and 2 desktops. All 3 machines running identical versions of ACT 2000.
There are 2 databases stored on the main computer, the other 2 machines access these databases via network share. They each have an icon on their desktop to open the respective database. In each database there is a user account setup for each person. Using database 2, each user can logon to the database so that changes get attributed to them, OTOH, this does not work with database 1. It has exactly the same user accounts setup, however when a user attempts to logon to the database it says invalid user id (or username, can't remember the exact text of the message). The only account that works is the master user. Giving the other user accounts full admin rights makes no difference. We've tried reindexing the problem database and other suggestions from the ACT KB, but no joy. Anyone have another idea? -- Harondel J.
