Actually I'm not booting from either SCSI or SATA, but from the IDE.

As Mr. Button has tried to say SATA is IDE but I believe what you're calling IDE is actually PATA [parallel ata].

I just can't get it to boot even to the IDE without disconnecting either the SCSI RAID drives or the SATA drive.

As asked by another subscriber earlier, is the PATA drive set as the Active Primary Partition? If not it will never be bootable but you can do this by disconnecting the other drives then booting a DOS 6.2 diskette & running Fdisk.

I can leave the cables connected to the controllers but it will not boot to the IDE with both SCSI drives AND SATA drives connected to their controllers at the same time.

It sounds to me like one of those drives is set as the Active Primary Partition.
