While my router/AP is not sitting exactly on top of a computer, it is VERY
close to both of these. I must admit that when I first set this up I had
similar concerns to yours, but this has been working fine for around 22
months now. Only way to know for sure is to just hook it up I guess
WAPs seem to have a better range the higher they are & I've never had
a problem with setting WNICs or WAPs on computers or even monitors
altho I thought the later could be an issue.
As always if you take this assignment we shall disavow any knowledge. ;-)
