Kylde,
Ran scannow and no bad report, ran Panda and had 2 infected files, Panda disinfected. Ran Ad-Aware SE, clean. Updated Panda ran again, clean. Ran scannow a 2nd time, assume OK - no report. Tried to open drive "C" from "My Computer" and error message "Windows Explorer had a problem and needs to shut down". The and error message " Dr Watson Debugger" had a problem and needs to shut down. About your suggestion "checked the contents of the startup entries" are you talking about Start>Run>Msconfig or Start>Control Panel>Taskbar & Start Menu? What should I be looking for here?
Thank you
Robbie

start with the easy stuff, is it spyware free? ran system file checker
(start- run - cmd /k sfc /scannow)? scandisked it? checked the contents
of the startup entries?
