Regarding wireless ... you'll want to get the hang of it
at home before you hit the road. And if the builtin wireless
supports all three 802.11 a/b/g, that's a plus. Note well,
make sure you've got a personal firewll installed - either
the one that comes with XP, or one of several other add ons.
Close the ports you're not using. And if you're traveling,
think about some sort of security device/lock, esp. when left unattended
at the hotel. And of course you'll want to make sure you have
the necessary plugs and voltages on your power adaptor, but typically
that's not an issue these days.
