I've place my order for MSDN Operating Systems last Friday which was a very
expensive
order of 699.00 USD plus tax ($733.00) used my credit card and almost maxed it
out with
a little less than $400.00 USD in the account. The package should arrive within
3 weeks.

There are 5 DVD's the first DVD is the Index which lists all the products in
the kit. The second DVD
contains all of the SDK (Software Developer Kit) and DDKs (Device Driver Kit)
for Windows XP SP2, .NET framework 1.1 SDK, SQL Server 2000, Windows XP SP1
SDK, Platform SDK for Windows Server 2003.

The third DVD contains all the Windows operating systems Windows 2000 thruogh
XP 64-bit and Windows Server Editions
2000 through 2003 both checked and debug builds. The Fourth DVD has the
applications Microsoft Virtual PC 2004, Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac 7.0.2. The
last DVD is the MSDN library.

OBTW the second disk also contains the crown jewel of the whole kit: Microsoft
Longhorn Pro Edition Beta 1 and Microsoft
Longhorn Pro 64-bit Edition Beta 1 a.k.a Vista which is the real reason why I
got the subcription and since its beta I am bound under the NDA so I'm totally
like the CIA on this one for sure.

Although Vista won't go RTM until next year the only two channels that you can
get the betas are through the Microsoft Developer Network and Microsoft Technet
Plus which are the only and most expensive options if you're willing to do so
if you have the big cash to purchase it.

The garter report predicts that Vista will be delayed untill 2Q 2007 but IMHO I
think the report confuses the release dates
of the Vista RTM with the General public Vista Beta 2.
