Something like PowerDesk and (probably) Total Commander (Wayne?) will
allow you to do this. PD5 is free from v-com, if I recall correctly,
with 6 as current version. Use the Viewer Pane to see contents.
Here's an off-the-wall suggestion: Copernic Desktop Search.
It will display word processing docs reasonably well, I think..
