I've lost track.  What is the laptop? (Windows version, home or pro if
applicable, etc).

And what are the other computers, same info. 

Run an IPCONFIG /ALL on each computer and post for each one the 

  IP address
  Subnet mask

and I'll give it a stab.

As I said, I don't understand all I know about this <smile>.

I'm not running a router......It's a Netgear switch.  Maybe that is what was

meant.

Signal comes in through DirecWay's router which is fed to the switch and 
then to each computer.

There's just some reason why LAPTOP cannot be accessed!

That is the crux of the matter right now.
