Sounds like a job for XpPe or a similar boot cd.
If it's on a desktop PC hook it up as a slave and del them.
If it's a laptop, looks more like an XpPe job.
Some files like those are a real PIA.

Basically I think you'll have to get to the files through a bootable system
that doesn't originate from those files' home drive.
Then again, I may be wrong.
Shall I call for a poll?
