Generally speaking, inkjet printheads don't need replacing until the print quality looks bad and replacing the cartridge and cleaning the printhead doesn't make it look better.
According to http://reviews.digitaltrends.com/review781_main3903_page4.html printhead life is 24,000 pages. If you print mostly black, you shouldn't need to replace them all at the same time. Has anyone had any experience with this printer? I am wondering how one tells when one needs to replace one of the printheads. Is there any kind of warning sign? They tell you when to replace the ink cartridges. Even though they are not very accurate about that.
