I went here, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921914
and mine is "too new" for that page... (So I did nothing.)
Good thing, since that page is nothing but double-talk...
I got "pushed" an update yesterday (or the day before...)
I approved it and let it install...
I think it is not calling home anymore, (not like it was...)

FWIW, a week or so ago, the machine froze "hard" while
deleting a file... I re-booted and got several dialog boxes
about me NOT being genuine... (I AM.)
The router (actually my personal HUB) was off when I re-booted,
and after I re-booted again "with it on" everything was fine...
(I did take Digital Camera Pictures of the various messages
if anyone wants to see them...)
It was very "odd" and shook my faith in the program...

They seem to be rolling out the "updated" version via win-update right
now, but I've not bothered checking (I've never allowed it to
install/run on here at all).

What gets me is why can't MSFT release a small app that does all this for you like <http://www.firewallleaktester.com/removewga.htm> does instead of having to mess with the registry. FWIW this only removes the notification part that calls home to mother MSFT.
