I'm not sure what you mean by "MS is retrieving yr IP without your
knowledge", as any communication on the web or your LAN does this. That's
how TCP/IP communication works. For most people they have a dynamic IP so
what is so bad about this?
I would think that the only people worrying about it are the conspiracy
theorists and those that are running pirated MS products.
