Thanks James, but the computer locks up Windows Explorer when the disk is inserted. I'd like to record more than once per disk - just as we used to do with VCR tapes. This is the second disk this has happened to, some of the others (+RW) have had no problems, so maybe I just need to find a better brand and stick to +RW type DVD disks only?
