Just restore your backup - you do have one don't you?
But, Sir Hugh - I wanted a fresh install --OS and all apps.
Your initial question said you wanted to copy XP from your old to new
drive. Is that what you want or not?
If it is, then some kind of drive clone software should work fine
(Acronis, BootItNG, Ghost)
If you want to install a fresh copy of XP (which means usually
reinstalling all your apps also) then you're going to need a CD.
