I'm not sure of your original question was answered.
If you are referring to the system-tray icon for POPFile it's well known
to be buggy. You'd be far better off disabling the system try icon
all-together, and creating yourself either a Bookmark to the main
POPFile Interface page or a desktop shortcut to the same.
Personally I have a desktop shortcut and it fires up the POPFile UI
flawlessly.
