I'll just point out, as I keep doing, that this exploit, even if you bite on a suitably nefarious website, ONLY RUNS MALWARE WITH YOUR PRIVILEGES. If you're not running as admin, it cannot install anything [can't even install activeX on my system, YMMV]. And it is nearly impossible for any sort of 'protection' software to protect against a smart-enough admin- privileged program from having its way, so those apps are bandaids-at- best.
Running-admin-all-the-time [and *especially* surfing the internet as admin] *IS*FOOLISH*. Even if you won't give up your beloved admin account [sensible and prudent as that would be to do :o)], *at*least* use "dropmyrights" to get your browser and email clients running privilege- free. /bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
