Does such a device exist....?
First a bit of background.
I have a PVR in my front room which has a USB port on it so that you can
transfer recorded programs onto your PC. When connected in this manner
it doesn't show as Removable Storage on the PC, instead you have to use
a special program to transfer the files.
I find it rather cumbersome to run a long USB cable between the two
devices, so I wondered if there was such a device as a wireless USB
cable. Something that acts exactly the same as a standard USB cable, but
uses radio to perform the transfer instead of the flexible trip-inducing
cable.
I've had a search on t'internet but I mostly find USB radio cards or
dongles, or the device requires drivers to be loaded on both ends of the
connection (something that is impossible on the PVR)
Any ideas?
