Michael, I just hit that problem 2 days ago. You need a patch beyond the svn/hg version of WiX3. (My network card on my main computer at home died 2 days ago, and I've got a new one on the way - but I can't commit at the moment. I can send you the patch from another computer.) Let me send you that patch (4-6 hours? Gotta get home from work first.) and things should work.
Checking out http://hg.curtisjewell.name/WiX3 or http://svn.ali.as/cpan/trunk/WiX3 , depending on what you have in the way of VCS software, will get you what to patch. --Curtis On Thu, 28 Apr 2011 17:16 +0200, "Michiel Beijen" <michiel.bei...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Since the February release of StrawberryPerl is still in beta, and > since Perl 5.14RC1 has been available for some time, and since I have > not seen any attempts at building 5.13 or 5.14 Strawberries I thought > that I should myself try to build one and see how far I'll get. > > On the StrawberryPerl website http://strawberryperl.com/beta/ is a > link to a 'bootstrap' perl that should include all tools to build a > Strawberry: > http://strawberryperl.com/download/bootstrap/bootstrap-perl-5.10.1.2.msi > -- unfortunately the link is broken. > > Second thought was to set up a Portable perl in a different location > and use that to install all needed modules on. > I tried with two different perls (5.10.0 and 5.12.2) but got stuck at > the same point; when trying to install WiX3.
