Hi,
I use Mandrake 8 and I have downloaded the trial version today. Everything was
fine until the personal install. In fact, under root, Win4lin was happy for the
general install with the directory /mnt/winc/windows/option/cabs where I have
my cabs and a boot floppy. When I restarted, the new kernel was in Lilo menu
and I have been able to choose it. But when I have proceeded to the personal
install, win4lin gave me a minimal message telling: the initial installation
was unsuccessfull. I understand from this that it is not happy with the files
it has got from the floppy and the cabs directory. Is this the meaning of this
message. If yes, why does it not give any error message during the initial
system-wide install?
Is there a solution to this problem? I would like to but the new version and
get a single boot machine under linux. Please help.
