I can't complain about sound playback, either.  I do the same thing, and use 
RealPlayer to listen to live Internet radio, and play MP3 files.  Every now 
and then I get a hiccup, but my system is just a lowly AMD K6-2 300 and I 
usually keep it pretty busy....
