Ah, finally, I got everything going all nice-like =D This is the first time
I've ever followed thru and kept a SuSE install on my computer for more than
a day or two. I've been using Mandrake since 7.02, and that's what I was
used to. I like having the Win4Lin patched into my kernel so that I keep
from having some of the funkier problems that I've seen on this list - and I
wasn't sure if SuSE was like Mandrake in the way that they muss with the
kernel (Installing a vanilla kernel from kernel.org in Mandrake would mess-up
a few things; and still considering myself a mostly newbie, it was easiest
just to patch that kernel and keep all the 'Mandrake goodness'). Because of
that, I've been trying to stick with the kernel source that was installed
with SuSE7.2. As of this morning, I finally said 'screw-it', hoping that I
wouldn't miss anything by trying the vanilla 2.4.5 kernel with the
appropriate patch from Netraverse...
well...
WOOHOO!
I get to use ColdFusion Studio, Fireworks, and IE again!
