I've never been able to get Activesync to work with win4lin 2.0 or 3.0. The
best I can do is get a slip connection going to transfer files via FTP. Which
works fine for non-Outlook based files. But to sync your calendar or
contacts, nope.

ActiveSync is supposed to work over a network, but the catch is you first
have to establish a partnership via the regular serial line.

One thing I haven't tried yet is to establish a partnership on my PC booted
into Windows, get the network connection going (you could use slip, so you
don't have to purchase an expensive PocketPC network card), then use one of
the application-mover programs (I know that Network Associates makes one, the
name escapes me) to move the entire package to a Win4Lin session.

As I've said, I haven't tried this so I don't know how well it works. I've
yet to get the time & inclination to give it a shot.
