I'm trying to install win4lin 3.0 on a SuSE 7.2 system. I've patched the 2.4.4 kernel with the generic patches on the Netraverse site, and the installer seems to think it's ok. I am using a bootable CD for the systemwide windows install, but it is hanging up at 50% with the message: Unable to run DOS for a minimal install. This could be due to a mismatch between a boot floppy and the version of Windows you are trying to install, or it could mean that Win4Lin is not correctly installed. Since I'm using a bootable CD instead of a boot floppy, I can't see how there could be a mismatch. I did earlier try using a boot floppy, but I've removed win4lin and started over with the bootable floppy. I'm not sure what 'Win4Lin is not correctly installed' might mean, much less what to do about it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. _______________________________________________ Win4Lin-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.netraverse.com/mailman/listinfo/win4lin-users
