I'm having similar problems... I completely reinstalled Mandrake 7.1
(formatting all ext2 partitions) and I still cannot get a win4lin ready
kerenel running again. I've installed and removed both 1.? and bet3 versions
with the same result (your running kernel is not win4lin ready).
Fortunately there was not yet any important data loss and I had not yet
abandoned my vfat version of windows.
My backup of win4lin directory isn't of much use if I can't get the program
running...
