Fellow bi-platform geeks:

My apologies because I'm sure many of you have seen this question
already. The list archives appear to be unavailable or I would hunt for
my answer there. I'm hoping that someone can repeat for me their
experiences with Win4Linux & SuSE 7.0.

I launched the quick-install.sh, and as expected it reported that my
Kernel could not be automatically upgraded. I'm running a tweaked
version of SuSE's 2.2.16 (SuSE 7.0) kernel.

So I tried applying the generic 2.2.16 patch, which threw a bunch of
errors. Next I tried applying the SuSE 2.2.14smp patch, which only
showed one error ... and included "Windows Aplication Support" in
make xconfig.

However, after compiling and booting the kernel, my system fails the
"grep mki_install_hook" test. Can you offer suggestions on how I
can get the kernel patch to take?

                                        -Josh Berkus
