In order to install the licensed version of Win4Lin, you have to uninstall the
eval
version. You shouldn't need to redo the Windows install, just the Win4Lin
install, so all
of your applications and such will remain in place. You are just replacing the
Win4Lin
application without touching your "C:" drive in Windows or your kernel.
The following instructions for uninstalling the eval and installing Win4Lin 1.0
should
soon be in our FAQ:
(As root)
rpm -e Win4Lin
rpm -i Win4Lin-1.0-1.rpm (From the directory where the file is located.)
This will make your Win4Lin installation "Win4Lin 1.0" rather than the eval.
After you update to Win4Lin 1.0 you will need to get the most current update
(Update 4) from our website. You can find the update on our "Updates &
Downloads" page or on our home page.
