It may be a result of the program using a custom mouse cursor. It may
also be a video issue. Are there any other problems with the W4L
display?
Also, do you have other programs running either in Windows or Linux
which may be using to much cpu time? This is more important for Windows
apps because of it's method of multitasking. On top of that, some apps
don't play well and use more than their share or don't relinquish extra
cycles. This usually results from bad programming and may not be noticed
on a real system.
You might want to check the Windows system to ensure it isn't running a
lot of applets. Some of these are loaded in the startup directory but
others are located in the system registry. To remove these you need a
utility like Windows Administrator. Many large applications set these up
when installed and they can really degrade the performance of Windows.
Most aren't really needed though. An example would be the Office suite.
Another possibility, try using visio in W4l started with the fwin
command. This will give it a fairly clean Linux/X environment to run in
which might help.
