I didn't bother with the professional version of Sound Forge as many of its functions are not accessible and never likely to be so I settled for Sound Forge Studio 10.
Anyway as I remember things, you create an account when you purchase the software which has all your details in it including serial numbers for the product you buy. On a final note, if you want the professional options that Sound Forge Pro 10.0 offers then a good choice is to use Reaper, its far cheaper <smile>.
