Hello Gordon and all GoldWave is a very nice program that can do what Sound Forge offers only significantly cheaper. Yes you can cut copy and paste using standard procedures. Markers I suggest you read the excellent help topics and manual, both of which are accessible and in HTML format one way or the other. In brief play from where you want to start the mark, pause it, press left bracket ([) to place the start marker at that position. Then play some more, pause it, then press right bracket (]) to place the finish marker at the current position. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gordon Smith" <[email protected]> To: "Windows Access; Share Your Enthusiasm!" <[email protected]>

Subject: GoldWave and Sound Forge

Hi all

OK, I just got us a copy of Goldwave. I've had a little play with it and found it to be quite user-friendly. I take it that all of the standard copy/cut/paste procedures work as they do in any other editor. How about markers to divide sections of audio etc?.? I'm still pretty brassed of that we haven't got a serial number for Sound Forge 10 Pro, despite the fact that Lynne paid over 300 quid for the beast. So I think I need to bang on a few heads with that one.

Anyway, hopefully at least Goldwave will fill the hole for the time being at least. It doesn't look like a badf programme at all.

Gordon
