Yeah you could use gold wave but if you wanted to add reverb or what not, it's 
awful in gw. I fyou wanted to add stuttering audio you could by copying and 
pasting the chuck you want to stutter and pasting it over and over and over 
again. I like multi track stuff as I can nudge audio clips I paste in where I 
want them to be. You cannot nudge audio in gold wave. you have to be exact 
every time. Oh gw is grate and i used it for years but when someone wanted me 
to do a voice over with sound I used at the time adobe audition which was worth 
using in 2007 but now is not. Yuck!
