the 32 bit from t here it would be cool.

I haven’t yet downloaded the 32-bit ISO. But I can certainly let you have the
downloader, if that would help? The downloader actually looks like the older
version of the Microsoft Windows Upgrade assistant, but it isn’t. The new one,
the one which you get pushed to you when you buy a new version of Windows, just
doesn’t seem to work at all. I’ve tried it on multiple machines, all running
Windows 7 and with qualifying system hardware to run Windows 8. One of them
had a brand new Windows installation, activated, and fully working. The only
thing I installed on to it was NVDA which, I am sure, would not hinder the
process at all.
Anyway, if you want the ISO’s rather than the downloader, I can give you a link
to the 64-bit one right away. But you’ll have to wait a day or so for the
32-bit ISO. This ISO gives you all versions of Windows 8.1, including the Pro
version if your product key would allow you to use it that way.
I wish I could find some way to install Windows 8.1 from the ground up without
visual assistance. That would resolve a big issue for me. But all of the
unattended installations I’ve tried so far have failed miserably. Actually I’m
becoming more and more frustrated with Microsoft’s installation procedure.
You’d think, wouldn’t you, that they would realise that some of the computer
users of this planet of ours need accessibility or at least the ability to
perform an unattended installation based on scripting. I’ve heard some blind
people say that they can reliably install Windows 7 and later from memory. I
simply don’t believe them! The differences between systems are far too widely
obvious to make that a plausible option, in my opinion. I did it from memory
several times using Windows XP, and I grant you that that wasn’t overly
difficult. But Windows 7 and Windows 8.x installers are a different kettle of
fish totally. They just don’t always come up with the same questions and
options on every system. That much I learned by trying the installer with
Lynne sitting here watching with me, using different computer hardware. I soon
noticed that the steps varied too significantly to be reliably duplicated.
Anyway, I’m rambling. Do you want the downloader, or would you rather wait for
the ISOs when I download the 32-bit one? Actually I personally don’t have a
need for that, but I’m going to build install media in both flavours so that I
can do some research to see if I can reliably perform unattended installs using
a script.
Kindest regards

Hi all
Finally, after months of trawling the Microsoft website, countless Google
searches and many personal enquiries, I have managed to download the full
Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Professional X64 ISO. I finally found a version
of the Microsoft download assistant which, although not the perfect solution to
the problem, allows you to download the entire ISO. Therefore, I have done so.
It still meant that I had to have had at least one Windows operating system up
and running, there’s no direct download URL that I know of. Therefore, if
anybody would like a copy of the setup utility that I found early this morning,
I’d be happy to make that available to them so that they don’t have to go
through the months of frustration that I did. Alternatively, if you happen to
have a Mac only and want to install Windows on to a virtual machine or a Boot
Camp setup, for example, I’d be happy to make the 32-bit or 64-bit ISO
available to you so that you don’t get delayed.
Anyway, I’m off now to finally get Windows 8.1 Professional and Microsoft
Office 2013 Professional installed on to 2 Macs. I bought product keys on line
for each machine months ago and never got to use them until now. If anybody is
interested in my comment on Office 2013 when I eventually get to try it, I’d be
happy to oblige.
Kindest regards
