Hi all I’m having a very strange and as yet unexplained system issue on one of our machines. I recently purchased a Zoomstorm bare-bones system, and although I got the operating system installed on it, it’s now developed a strange software fault whereby Windows won’t recognise any USB keyboard or mouse so, obviously, I cannot log into the system any more. I’ve determined that this is a software issue, since I am able to use the keyboard and Lynne can use the mouse in the System BIOS setup utility. All settings in that setup are fine, and the system behaves fine at that level. It’s just when booting Windows that the problem arises. Can anybody suggest an alternative method of accessing the system that I could try? I think that, once in the OS again, I could then fix the issue. I cannot get the system to boot from DVD any more either, and the BIOS is a bit odd in that regard. It doesn’t refer to DVD or USB devices as such, it just gives you the device number. Changing one option changes the entire sequence but subsequent boot attempts from DVD still fail.
Any ideas?
