Oh, silly me, I forgot that I already noticed this problem and get rid of it by putting sed '1,/^Valid/d;s/^M$//;s/^ \(.*\)$/ "\1",/' into maketests. I think I understand this: the msvcrt test must be linked with msvcrt (:), so printf emits a CR at the end of the lines. If we ran the cross compiled tests to get the names of the subtests, we'd get this all the time. I don't know what it depends on whether a Windows programs opens a console when run, and whether it closes it instantly when finishes. Basically, we have to decide on the interface.
