It's not really mainstream that I can find, but the term "wireless moat"
has been applied to similar efforts:

Then there's always "RF Paint" and similar Faraday Cage containment
endeavors- but each has arguably more cost and disadvantage than
benefit.

....I understand that Meru does something called geo-fencing where by
they can isolate rooms (using imported CAD floor plans) and use AP based
triangulation to restrict users from associating in identified areas.
I'd love to see it work.....has anyone played with this?

My personal opinion is that it is not a good or even reasonable strategy
to attempt  to control WiFi in the classroom.   For one thing, it's
unlikely that an AP serves only a single classroom and no adjacent
areas.  Secondly, we can't control the cellular signal, so really
there's not much benefit from a cheating standpoint.
