First off, forgive the forward nature of this email. I know this group does not like vendors chiming in, for good reason. I have been on this list for years (even before Aerohive) just listening to the issues and advice of the post and thought I would send a note just this once.
Aerohive was founded in the beginning of 2006 to take on what we viewed as the issues with existing architectures; resiliency, performance and cost. Initially we targeted what we thought at the time were the most relevant environments; Healthcare, logistics, distribution and manufacturing. In those environments there is a direct relationship between downtime and $ or even patient health. In the last 6 months, I would say, education has found us, due to our ease of use and architecture. I expect you will see more of us in the near future.
