Can you create a temporary ad-hoc wireless network between the two devices? They should then be able to see each other, and sync. Some wireless systems ship with multicasting disabled, so even if they were on the same subnet it might not work. (I know meru does by default, as this exact thing came up where I work) I think it's a good thing, as I don't want wireless clients wasting the wireless bandwidth streaming itunes to each other. (They do enough of that on the lan)

I'm running into a problem where an apple user is unable to sync his wirele=
ss devices using the application called "thing". Upon further investigation=
I found one of his devices on one wireless subnet and the other device on =
another subnet. The devices cannot find each other because the application =
uses Bonjour to find the devices which relies on mdns (multicast DNS) and t=
he devices are on different subnets which breaks the multicast.

Has anyone run into this situation and if so how did you resolve the proble=
m?.

Has anyone had any luck with Wide Area Bonjour (Form of Dynamic DNS) in res=
olving this kind of problem.

Thanks so much
