Their published documentation with the devices & online still states that painting voids the warranty.
It appears that, at least for antennas, you are allowed to paint them according to http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Access-Points-and-Mesh-Routers/painting-aruba-ant-16/td-p/67412 I believe the Aruba user answering, oharms (Otto Harms), is in charge of the AP group.. Here is another thread where, in the last 2 postings, an Aruba employee cautions about painting indoor APs. http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Access-Points-and-Mesh-Routers/Aesthetic-Outdoor-Wireless-Stand-Alone-Enclosure/m-p/19374/highlight/true#M275 Bruce Osborne Network Engineer IT Network Services (434) 592-4229 Liberty University | Training Champions for Christ since 1971 -----Original Message----- From: Tim Cappalli [mailto:cappa...@brandeis.edu] Sent: Thursday, June 6, 2013 8:07 AM Subject: Re: RF interference from 802.11 Certain non-metallic paints can now be used without voiding the Aruba warranty. We're getting rumblings out of our Physics department - they are trying to prevent APs from getting installed in their area because of what they say are highly sensitive devices that will be adversely affected. > > My personal opinion is....well, I'll withhold that for now.
