I have been working under this thought process also, that it is better to keep it at 20 MHz. I have made no effort to test at 40 or 80 MHz nor do I have any plans at this time.

Our campus presently uses 20MHz channel width in all buildings. We are testing and considering 40MHz width because of the bandwidth benefits for clients. What do you use on your campus? Have you found that setting a 40MHz channel width on your 5GHz radios has caused too much interference? Here is the article: http://divdyn.com/dual-5ghz-radio-aps<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__divdyn.com_dual-2D5ghz-2Dradio-2Daps&d=DgMGaQ&c=GTxgfYI6i4KYikqC6GK_Jzn2mYGEh-v4HEPYCyQcJzU&r=gESFfxkz83JEIAAPJ78hwRDbYXa0egqYOhaeRMDNKZQ&m=WQDqwq1MXcmtx2K8xtLI9obmbeMYSxyrII5epEznWco&s=zDziIMboZkVEfv-fFOeEM17ij-O8fU1vrYvgzwD0MIw&e=>/ Your thoughts are appreciated. -- Jason Trinklein Wireless Engineering Manager College of Charleston 81 St. Philip Street | Office 311D | Charleston, SC 29403 trinkle...@cofc.edu<mailto:trinkle...@cofc.edu> | (843) 300–8009 ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.educause.edu_groups_&d=DgMGaQ&c=GTxgfYI6i4KYikqC6GK_Jzn2mYGEh-v4HEPYCyQcJzU&r=gESFfxkz83JEIAAPJ78hwRDbYXa0egqYOhaeRMDNKZQ&m=WQDqwq1MXcmtx2K8xtLI9obmbeMYSxyrII5epEznWco&s=0-GOgCfFLLcN6aeIIVpd_58los2IUaWyg_VF07qGwTc&e=>. ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.
