Hi Mark,

I've been lurking on the list for a few weeks, and have just this week put
14.2 on a Framework 13 laptop with Intel Wifi card in it. Built 14.3 kernel
a couple of days ago, and despite most of the settings looking correct, I'm
still getting pretty slow speeds and only on 2.4ghz.

You are the 2nd(+?) person reporting that they are basically stuck on
2.4Ghz.

Have you tried forcing 11ac (like Peter Miller did in the thread [1])?
Does that work for you?

The rc.conf "mode 11ac" bit? Yes, I tried that. Sadly, no effect for me :(

Attached should be a log with, I hope, every bit of debug info I can see
has been asked for in previous threads. If I've missed anything, please
just ask and I'll happily attach.

Thanks a lot for all the details.

No worries. If there's anything else I can provide that may help, please
say.

One thing which worries me is:
102 rx seq# violation (CCMP)

That should not happen on stable/14 anymore. bdc94f09bd96b28dcb841afa31f44b0879130134
landed in Februar to avoid this.

I compiled the kernel just yesterday, with a fresh git clone and
'switch stable/14'. Hopefully I got it right - my tech skills are a
bit rusty.

I'll have to take that up next week with you to debug this and see where
it is coming from. If you don't hear from me by Wed please give me a
ping6.

Many thanks for such a fast response on the weekend too. I'm attempting to keep up with the mail list now, so will ping as requested; if required.

If it helps with investigating at all, I'm using a TP-Link Deco Mesh
wifi network. I have five access points spread around the house.

Many thanks again Bjoern!
