Hi All,

I just now installed FreeBSD 14.3 on an old HP Laptop, which has following
specs:
Product Name : 15-r036tu
Microprocessor 2.58 GHz Intel Pentium N3530 with Intel HD Graphics

The laptop has Ralink RT3290 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe adapter.
I was hopeful that the WiFi would be supported.

I got adventurous and added PCI vendor ID and device ID to
/usr/src/sys/dev/ral/if_ral_pci.c and rebuilt the kernel.
However the newly build kernel with added PCI IDs crashed when booting, and I
have since reverted to old(default) kernel.

What are the PCI IDs?

Is there any way to get this device to work in FreeBSD 14.3?

Likely not anymore in 14.3 (unless as an external module) or if you
patch your source (both only if someone does the work to write the
support).
