Director of System Engineering
* Manage System Engineering, Datacom, Protocol and SW architecture,
and System Design.
* Develop the overall system architecture, both Hardware and
Software.
* Drive overall system requirements and requirements definition.
* Generate system requirements, product specifications based on the
marketing requirement documents.
* Build the System Engineering Group.
* Perform hiring, and oversee employee development and training.
* Responsible for budget and scheduling of system engineering tasks.
* Develop system engineering processes, procedures and tools.
Minimum Requirements:
* BSEE or equivalent.
* 7+ years Director level or Senior Manager of System Engineering in
the data communications industry.
* Ethernet Services and/or Packet Switch engineering background is
required.
* Must have a strong combination of both Hardware and Software
System architecture engineering experience.
* Must be able to effectively resolve issues.
* Must have an outstanding track record of meeting business
objectives.
* Must be good at organization and documentation of projects
activity through development life cycle.
* Must have an outstanding track record in coaching, leading,
mentoring and career development if technical staff.
* Must be knowledgeable of IEEE 802.3.1 Ethernet Standard Protocols,
802.3 and 802.1.
* Must be able to communicate and work effectively with Marketing,
Engineering and Technical Support organizations.
* Must have the vision to identify technological opportunities for
new products.
