[BAWUG] Accessing another computer in the home using Wireless

I am trying to figure out how I access the other computer in my house.   My configuration is Cable Modem--Linksys 2.4ghz Wirless Access Point Router - that connects to a laptop using a Wireless access card and a home desktop using a wireless USB adapter.  The home computer is running windows XP and the laptop is Win 2000.    I got it to work specifying an ad hoc network before I got hooked up to the cable modem, but now I'm using the default network configuration in order to share the internet access.    Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.   Regards,   Eric Berry Rehoboth, MA
