While back I posted that have Senao card but can't see
any SSIDs using included program or Stumbler. Problem
was card won't work with program that comes with it;
you have to DL another ap from Senao site.

Now, it works. I see a number of APs with names and
MACs.

How can I tell if any of them are open to anyone and
which are not and assuming I can 'see' one that is
open, I have no idea how to try and connect. It isn't
like Surf n Sip where you have a URL to use with Opera
or Netscape...

One such AP is thrashr888 which is about games so
seems like would be open.

Maybe I'll have better luck with this question than I
did with the previous one.

Any suggestions?

(No, sorry, I don't have a kite. Thanks anyway)
